You know when the ComicCon starts we get a lot of movie treats: "Yahoo Movies" has released today two amazing promo posters which will be used during ComicCon for two of the Marvel's most anticipated films "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger".

Marvel is organizing a big panel at San Diego ComicCon this Saturday, and hopefully they might release some pictures and images for both "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" on that occasion, beside these art work posters.

And when we are mentioning "Thor", Mark Protosevich, the screenwriter who adapted Thor for the big screen, is planning to adapt another comic book: it is possible that he will also direct "Freakshow", the film version of the upcoming comic book in which the story revolves around five young people who are turned into mutants with special powers after a chemical explosion and they must decide whether to use their powers to save the city or to exact revenge on those responsible for the explosion.

Another comic book to be adapted into a film is "The Strange Case of Hyde". This Dark Horse comic follows Dr. Jekyll and his alter-ego Mr. Hyde, bringing a fresh view of the famous story by making the split personality the center of a Victorian-era action-adventure that sees him go head-to-head against a historical villain.

One of the movies we are anxiously waiting to see on August 27th is the Roman epic "Centurion" directed by Neill Marshall. Three new character posters and a new hand-drawn comic poster have just been revealed showing Michael Fassbender, Olga Kurylenko and Dominic West. Check them out.

As I've informed you many times before, "Centurion" will follow the legendary Ninth Legion which is trying to wipe the Picts from the face of the earth and destroy their leader over at ancient Britain.

Earlier this year, I've also informed you that "G.I.Joe" will get its sequel, and now it has been officially confirmed that visual genius, Stephen Sommers ("The Mummy", "Van Helsing") will sit behind the helm again. Channing Tatum will most likely return as Captain Duke Hauser in the new installment of the movie which has grossed more than $300 million around the world.

Lloyd Levin the producer of "Watchmen" has bought the film rights to the comic book series "Mage". According to "Movieweb", the series was created by Matt Wagner in the 80s, and is a reimagined version of the Camelot legend. The story centers on Kevin Matchstick, a troubled young man who learns he possesses special powers and, with the aid of an enchanted baseball bat, seeks out to vanquish the evil plans of the Umbra Sprite.

Earlier this year, I've informed you that Sam Worthington might star in "Dracula Year Zero", a movie to be directed by Alex Proyas ("The Crow", "I Robot"), and now it's official. According to "MovieWeb", the $100 million project will be the origin story of Vlad the Impaler, the Romanian royalty who terrorized his nation and inspired Bram Stoker to create his classic character, Dracula. The production will start in June 2011 in Australia.

Now, here's a crazy piece of news: Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy will star in the romantic comedy "Hysteria", centered on the invention of the vibrator in Victorian-era England. Hugh Dancy will be a doctor in London treating cases of hysteria, a condition said to be characterized at the time by a woman's irritability, anger or unexplained tears. He and his best friend (Rupert Everett) will experiment with a new electrical device for treatment for the ailment. Maggie Gyllenhaal will play the daughter of his colleague :))

Since they've chosen Andrew Garfield to play Peter Parker in the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot, the producers are now auditioning girls for the main female character, Gwen Stacy. The People's Choice Awards went down last night and the night belonged to Sandra Bullock. The "Proposal" and "Blind Side" actress beat out the other popular females in her category to take home the award for favorite movie actress. And Bullock gave a heartfelt acceptance speech. We think she may be practicing her tears for her probable upcoming Golden Globe acceptance speech.

An emotional Sandra Bullock told the crowd, "I am only up here because I am fortunate to work with people who make me look good. [Thanks] most of all to my family... Life is hard sometimes, but we get through with laughter... Thank you to everyone who voted, because you're voting for all the people who make me look good – and you're making me look very good."

Johnny Depp took home the award for favorite movie actor, making him both the sexiest man alive and the people's favorite movie actor. If we were Depp, we'd feel like we could pretty much phone it in from this point on. (But we guess that's what he's been doing in all those Tim Burton films for the last few years, anyway. Zing.)

Other big winners included Taylor Swift (no surprise there) and Keith Urban. Swift won the award for favorite female artist, while Urban won the award for favorite male artist. Carrie Underwood was named favorite country artist for the third year in a row.

And just in case you thought "Twilight" would be old news by the time the People's Choice Awards rolled around - think again. The movie won four awards, including favorite movie, favorite onscreen team and favorite franchise. No shock there. We're sure the "favorite franchise" category really had some other serious contenders.

Taylor Lautner took home the award for favorite breakout actor. Which means that the recently broken-up Taylors both went home with trophies...alone.

Britney Spears is setting the record straight with a new addition to her Web site that separates fact from fiction.

The pop star has launched a “Bulls#!t Alerts” page that will “give [fans] the inside-scoop- straight from Britney and her team on what’s true and what’s bull.”

For her inaugural post, the pop star runs down the top 75 stories written about her in 2009, which she has deemed bull.

According to her Web site, more than 13,000 stories were written about the pop star this year and they’ve compiled an impressive list – complete with screen shots – of the ones that were “factually inaccurate… patently absurd” and “simply offensive to the sensibilities.”

The list of bunk Brit stories include reports of fans leaving her show, allegations of drugging, topless photos – and even appearance of Courtney Love.

Avatar Hits $1 Billion Mark, Eyes ‘Titanic’ Record

James Cameron’s “Avatar” has reached the $1 billion mark at the box office — making it the “Titanic” director’s second film to reach the lofty number.

The long-awaited 3D epic hit the milestone after only 17 days in release. It has earned $352 million domestically.

“Avatar’s” numbers have been aided by higher ticket prices for 3D screenings, but the film has nevertheless proved itself a major hit after early worries that it would struggle to match its bulky budget, estimated in one New York Times report at $500 million.

1997’s “Titanic” remains the top-grossing film of all time worldwide, with $1.8 billion.

Only a handful of films have ever passed the $1 billion marker — “Titanic,” “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” and “The Dark Knight.”

The final “Lord of the Rings” film earned $1.1 billion in its 2003 release, putting it in close proximity to “Avatar,” which would still have to almost double its current take to catch up with “Titanic.”

Should “Avatar” top “The Lord of the Rings,” it will become the second highest-grossing film of all time, making Cameron responsible for the two top-grossing movies in history.

Rachel Uchitel Tells Billy Bush She Didn’t Party With Tiger Woods Over The Weekend

Rachel Uchitel may be in Palm Beach, Florida, but she told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush she did not go to the city’s Everglades Club with Tiger Woods or anyone else over the weekend as has been reported.

Uchitel spent Saturday night with a host of friends, she told Bush on Wednesday.

The New Yorker explained that she spent Saturday night with a group of friends, who started off the evening at Echo for dinner. At 10 PM, Uchitel said the group, which included 10 friends, moved over to 251 Sunrise, a local nightclub.

In fact, photos have surfaced on Page2Live.com, showing Uchitel at 251 Sunrise on Saturday night, speaking with a man in a backward Yankee baseball cap. Uchitel told Bush that she was at the club until around 2:30 AM when she left with a group of eight friends.

Additionally, Gloria Allred released a statement to Access Hollywood shooting down reports that Uchitel has been spotted with Woods.

“Ms. Uchitel has had absolutely no contact with Tiger Woods for quite some time, and has not seen him or had any communication with him since she has been in Palm Beach,” the statement read.

Nicole Kidman's Dispute with Neighbors Ahead of Sister's Wedding

Nicole Kidman has been dealt a setback in the preparations for her sister's upcoming wedding - her neighbours in Australia have complained about security measures designed to keep out the paparazzi. The Hollywood actress is back in her native country for the holidays with her husband, Keith Urban, and their daughter Sunday Rose.

And Kidman is busy preparing their home in Bunya Hill, New South Wales, ahead of her sister Antonia's nuptials, which are expected to be held there at the end of the month (Dec09). The star has taken extreme measures to help safeguard their privacy on the big day, erecting a green nylon fence and surrounding the property with fast-growing cypress leylandii saplings, which can reach up to 20 metres (65 foot) high.

But the added security measures, which are reportedly a tactic to keep prying camera lenses away during the ceremony, have infuriated the star's neighbours. Local residents are unhappy with the "ugly" fence and the newly-planted trees, which many fear could blight the landscape in years to come. Neighbour Greg Barnsley says, "We respect that Nicole wants her privacy but if she wants trees, let them be Australian ones. She could be gone in a couple of years and then we will be left with them forever. They grow to an enormous height. Yes these ones are small now but they are going to be huge."

TV presenter Antonia Kidman will exchange vows with Craig Marran after accepting his proposal in September (09) - she has four children from her 11-year marriage to Angus Hawley which ended in 2007.

Sarah Palin: Naughty Monkey Heels Sell For $2,025 on eBay (Photos)

Sarah Palin’s niece just made a quick bundle of cash by selling a pair of size 7.5 red Naughty Monkey Double-Dare heels on eBay. The first time seller became an eBay member on January 19th and saw her first auction end successfully on January 27, 2009. She made a cool $2,025 plus $11.95 for shipping and handling.

The Palin relative did not provide her name but does share a recent photo taken with her aunt for the purpose of tying the auction to the governor of Alaska. Other photos showed Palin at several events, wearing the shoes. The photos were autographed and the pen that the governor used also goes to the winning bidder. Palin’s niece has also offered the auction winner the option of having Palin sign the shoes.

The high heeled pumps were purchased by Palin for around $100 from Shoefly & Hudson in Juneau, Alaska. The seller was quick to reiterate that they were not purchased by the RNC, lest anyone jump to the wrong conclusion. Aunt Sarah reportedly gave the shoes to her niece and appears to have happily gone along with the eBay sale.

The auction starting price was $500. The governor’s high heels garnered 14 bids from seven bidders. The winner skillfully placed a single bid in the final seconds to beat out the previous leader by $25. The winner has been an active eBay buyer and seller, with a total of 189 transactions.

Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American recording artist and entertainer. Born in McComb, Mississippi and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Spears first appeared on national television in 1992 as a contestant on the Star Search program, and went on to star on the television series The New Mickey Mouse Club from 1993–1994. After a brief membership with the pop musical group Innosense, Spears signed a recording contract with Jive Records, releasing her debut album Baby One More Time in 1999. The Top 25 Music Actress Idols Of All-Time

With both Taylor Swift and Britney Spears releasing new albums, it's time we thought about teen idols, doncha think?

Who doesn't love a teen idol? After all, they're so young! And as we age and slowly become decrepit, we look back at our youth and wonder at the innocence of it all. For the most part, I tried to stick with performers who were actual teenagers when they inspired their peers. However, Davy Jones was clearly a bit older when he swooned Marcia Brady's heart and he is the very definition of a teen idol, as was David Cassidy. These days, we're much better at making sure our teen idols are teenagers. Or at least were teenagers. Funny thing is they eventually grow up--like Britney. And develop into fine, fine citizens of the world. Or not.

Anyhow ranking them seems a little silly. I know from past experience that many of you dear readers will complain about someone's position on the list. I sympathize. If I woke up tomorrow to do this ranking system it would come out differently. There are no hard, fast rules here. Just me typing a name out and thinking that it looks nice in that spot. Or someone's got to be cut from this list. And since most of the people appearing on this list didn't get back to me about some "bonus" issues, well, we'll just let karma and fate and my accountant settle things once and for all.

No matter how you feel about these people, please remember to brush your teeth at least twice a day and stay away from those sugary snacks. Wheat Thins are in! And careful with that cellphone. Who knows if it really causes brain cancer? I'd hate to be on the wrong side of that argument. Which is why I prefer the U.S. Mail. Write a letter to your friends instead.

25) 98 Degrees: I remember when a friend of mine was telling me about these guys. His daughters were really into them. But he kept calling them 38 Degrees and I kept wondering what was the significance of being six degrees above freezing.

24) Tiffany: We just featured Tiff in our "Where Are They Now?" column and she's still out there remaking herself as a danceclub diva. But back in the 1980s she was the girl next door singing at the mall, raking in the money and making you wonder why your band couldn't get that gig. Is this true? If so, is everyone in the music business related? I've heard we're each other's brother and sister, but this is taking things too far.

22) New Kids On The Block: These kids were huge in their day and these days they can't even get a reality TV show, can they? I'm told they released a new album this year. Did anyone notice? I'm told the album debuted at #1 on the charts and has gone Gold. But who bought it? Teens? Fully grown adults who remember them back when? Who are these people?

21) Frankie Lymon: His life was tragic. "Why Do Fools Fall In Love?" guaranteed him success and then his voice changed and the people who managed him weren't very good to him and he was introduced to heroin and he died of an overdose at 25. Sometimes success isn't exactly success. Hey, Artie Lange, keep an eye on yourself (we went to high school together, this is true!)

20) Shaun Cassidy: His amazing version of "Da Doo Ron Ron" remains one of pop music's all-time classics and certainly everyone should own a copy. If you don't, do not pass Go, do not collect $200 and go directly to jail!

19) Debbie Gibson: Deborah to us now. And recently featured in my "Where Are They Now?" column. She was the cleanest, most wholesome of the lot and then she poses in Playboy to shatter our image of her and to promote an album called Naked. You expect certain folks to do these things, but not our Little Debbie! (Great snack food, too.)

18) Ricky Nelson: From The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet to more than 50 Top 100 Hits to "Garden Party" to siring two sons who would go on to ‘80s rock fame as Nelson, Ricky had done it all. He set the standard for others and yet never quite got the respect that many other less successful artists received. He should've filed a petition!

17) ‘N Sync: I guess any band with Justin Timberlake and Lance Bass should be considered a "Supergroup" of sorts. I mean, even I've heard of them and I wouldn't know these guys from Backstreet Boys, who I'm ranking higher because they have a better name, or 98 Degrees, who I ranked lower because of their lamer name. It's not an exact science, folks.

16) LeAnn Rimes: It's a shame she grew up because she made a great teenager. But we all knew it was bound to happen. We saw it happen with Alyssa Milano. So there was previous proof. She's currently 26! And she continues to have success--proving she wasn't just some teen flash-in-the-pan, but a force of a nature.

15) Silverchair: I've already been taken to task for not realizing that these guys still had a career going after their first initial success. Damn. I should've known something was up when I saw they worked with Van Dyke Parks. That's not someone you call upon when you want a hit. That's who you call when you want prestige and to sell no records whatsoever. Unless you're the Beach Boys, then you call him because you want to get weird--and annoy Mike Love.

14) Hanson: Who didn't think these guys were the best? They always looked uncomfortable and awkward and you figured the little drummer boy in the back would eventually become a terror. They had to know that "MmmBop" wasn't going to help them be taken seriously. Catchy tune. Big hit. But it's kind of like farting on your first date. Everyone remembers, but not everyone is impressed.

13) Backstreet Boys: Given the 13th position strictly because I like their name. They've sold over 120 million albums but not one of them to me or anyone I know and I assume that most of those albums--CDs?--are now sitting in a landfill somewhere alongside my old computer and my Atari 2600. Damn, I miss that thing.

12) Jonas Brothers: I've been to Wyckoff, New Jersey, so there's a chance that I once ran into these guys when they were little tykes probably trying to run me over with their tricycles. These days, they could buy and sell me. I just hope these talented young men are putting away their money into smart, retirement plans because even though right now the horrors of old age may seem to be in the distant future it will come sooner than they think. But, hey, for now, let's celebrate!

11) Taylor Swift: Maybe Joe Jonas can dump her in 27 seconds on the phone, but just for that we're putting her one spot ahead of those guys--to teach them a lesson! We here at List Of The Day will not stand for guys breaking up with girls over the phone. That's what the mail is for!

10) Menudo: What I liked about this group was how you got kicked out after you got too old. It didn't matter what you had contributed, it was time to move on. Imagine if we could do that to all those old, senile high school teachers who keep reading from the same yellowed notes year after year. Or to the mail delivery person who no longer can remember which box is which and keeps giving my mail to the neighbors. Forced retirement at age 17 might seem a bit extreme, but reality burns sometimes.

9) Donny And Marie: She was a little bit country and he was a little bit rock n' roll, and we do mean a little bit. These two had their own variety show that if I remember correctly was on Friday nights, which served as a reminder that you were HOME on a Friday night. They had so many teeth there should've been a dental inquiry.

8) Lulu: I'm including her because of her name. It's a great one. And she was a teen star. And I'm figuring about 3 per cent of my reading public remember her. And the rest will just ignore this entry and move on to the one about Michael Jackson or maybe Avril. Our attention spans are like that.

7) Tanya Tucker: These days young ones are so much more commonplace but back in the 1970s, it was always as if they had "blue laws" stopping youth from happening. Tanya took over the country world with "Delta Dawn" at 13 and "Would You Lay With Me (In A Field Of Stone)" was among her hits that caused people to raise their eyebrows and wonder where the world was headed. They would've shuddered to learn about Gangsta Rap, that's for sure.

6) Michael Jackson: Michael wasn't even a teen when he started his career. He had so much of a head start on everyone else it practically wasn't fair. That it turned out he had actual talent must've been a surprise to everyone. I mean, when a kid is nine, you can't map out what he'll be doing at 20 or 30. Weathermen can't even figure out what's going to happen in three days!

5) David Cassidy: Another one of these guys who was a little old by today's standards. But he had that show--The Partridge Family--and maybe he wasn't always crazy about performing on the show but I'm pretty sure Willie Aames would've killed for the opportunity to perform regularly, as his band only got to perform once on Eight Is Enough, which was a show that starred Dick Van Patten, an absolutely legend here at Y! Music.

4) Avril LaVigne: She made skater kids go mainstream and took the punk she found at the mall and went for it. I don't imagine she'll ever be teaming up with the guys from Fear or Black Flag, but then who knows? Weirder things have happened. And often do--if you live long enough.

3) Miley Cyrus: I can't get over how much more teenager is left in this girl. It seems like she's been popular forever. I can barely remember a world where she wasn't dominating the lunch box market. But then I can barely remember where I put my shoes.
